Sex Therapy. Sex therapy is an excellent resource for partners or individuals who are struggling with some aspect of their sexual lives. Some topics that can be addressed in sex therapy include experiences of infidelity, the impacts of fertility on sexuality, desire discrepancy and low libido, healing from sexual trauma, navigating and negatiating specific kinks, opening up a relationship/ navigating non-monogamy, or simply wanting to revitalize your sex life in a long-term relationship.
EMDR. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured, evidence-based approach to healing from trauma, anxiety, grief, or other difficult experiences. Many individuals who have either found talk-therapy to be minimally effective or have hit a wall in their therapeutic progress have found EMDR to help catalyze their healing by working directly with the impacts of trauma on the body and mind. EMDR combines elements of multiple evidence-based approaches into structured protocols that are designed to maximize treatment effects by targeting specific triggers. For more information about EMDR, please visit the EMDR International Association.
